About the author

April 16th, 2006

Hi! I began writing as soon as I could read: the wonder that ideas in my head could be transmitted to another’s head and vice versa amazed and fascinated me — and continues to do so.

I have three published books, two novels and a farming handbook, and many magazine articles, lifestyle, health, agriculture, over the years. At one time I edited and published a rather successful niche magazine for the Australian goat industry.

I write almost every day so my son has created this blog site for me to post some of my ramblings. I would enjoy reading your comments.

Having tried out a few small pieces I am now putting up my new novel for your pleasure (I hope!). About a crises of sorts in a middle-aged woman’s life. Titled, The Barley-child because a barley child is one conceived before marriage. If you follow Del through the chapters, which I will place one or two at a time, her story and why I called her a barley child will become clear to you.

I trust you will enjoy this story — which is pure fiction — and look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes, Robyn Hogan

Cheers, Robyn
